#11 Weekly Reflection – New Flat Excitement!
Editing this weeks’ vlog was really interesting – with the turn of the season my emotions are really up-and-down, and I always find reflection really useful when that sort of thing happens. That might sound a bit hippie-dippy, but it really does work. Vlogging in general I find is great for my mental health – it gives me an outlet that is completely separate from my working life, my social life and my uni life and it’s a hobby that is completely my own. Watching yourself back is weird to start with, yeah, but you soon get used to it and I feel like the way I express myself has adapted (in a good way) as a result of such in-depth self-observation. Just a thought!
Anyway, this week I’m spending half of my time down in the dumps because my living situation is so dire, and the other half squealing with excitement because it’s only three weeks until I move into my new flat! I am SO excited. I have paint swatch samples and Pinterest boards, furniture ready to up-cycle and curtains ready to go up – I’m like a sprinter on the start line at the olympics! More than that, I’m excited to share with you all my DIY tips and painting time-lapses, how-tos and how-not-tos!
Without further adieu, here is my brand new weekly vlog, live now over on my YouTube channel!
Until next time,
